2770 Concrete Etch
2770 is an inhibited hydrochloric acid for use in the etching or opening of concrete surfaces for receiving other treatments or for treating concrete surfaces that are exhibiting dusting or light scaling. 2770 contains an effective inhibitor to minimize attack on ferrous metals. 2770 is not safe for contact with aluminum, zinc or stainless steel. Preparation & Application
For etching concrete floors, 2770 may be diluted with up to 15 parts water. The strength of the concrete and the depth of the etching required will determine the proper dilution ratio. Do a test area to determine the proper amount of etching required. In all cases, rinse well after the reaction time has elapsed. The best results will be obtained with a spray application.
Limitations
2770 is for use by professional contractors only. In order to achieve a good etching of the surface, all sealers or any material that will prohibit contact with the concrete surface must be removed prior to application. Application to concrete surfaces that are below 40 degrees F will result in an uneven surface or generally poor performance.
