2442 Water and Oil Repellent with Biostat consists of an aqueous dispersion of a fluoropolymer, which forms a durable, non-visible, penetrating treatment on most construction material surfaces. This product will create an oil and water repellent shield on concrete, wood, masonry, asphalt, vinyl and painted surfaces. Unlike most competitive products, 2442 contains a biostatic agent to protect the repellent from microbial attack. The biostatic agent will prevent bacteria, mold, and algae from growing on the surface of the fluoropolymer resin so it will continue to provide oil and water repellency for an extended period of time.

Clean all surfaces to be treated to avoid sealing in dirt or organic growth. Provide protection for all surfaces not intended to be treated. Test all areas to determine if there will be any adverse effects. 2442 is non visible on most surfaces but only a test application will determine if there will be any change that might be unacceptable. Allow the test area to dry before making a final determination regarding acceptance for your project.

Apply undiluted 2442 to a clean, dry surface by brush, spray or roller making sure that a thorough saturation of the surface is accomplished. On an average surface the application rate will be about 200 square feet per gallon for porous surfaces. Coverage on nonporous surfaces like sealed wood, vinyl, aluminum, or roofing shingles may be higher. Make sure that during the initial application, sufficient material is applied to the surface. A second application if desired must be done before the first on is dry due to the water repellent nature of the product.

2442 Water and Oil Repellent with Biostat is for use by professional contractors only. All masonry surfaces must be free of any material that will prevent penetration of the fluid. Application should not be undertaken when rain is expected within 24 hours or if there is dew, frost or ice on the surface. Do not alter the product with any other material. If the fluid comes in contact with window glass or other surfaces not intended to be treated, remove immediately with an aqueous alkaline cleaner such as 2790 Con-D-Soil. Applications may cause a slight to moderate color enhancement of some surfaces. Prior to the start of a project, testing is recommended to determine if there are any changes that are unacceptable.

Safety

All applicators must wear OSHA recommended protective equipment. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not ingest or inhale the product, modify the product with any material for any non-recommended purposes. Refer to the proper MSDS Sheet for treatment for persons exposed to or reacting to the product.

Shore Corporation warrants that this product conforms to the chemical composition described in the Product Label. SHORE CORPORATION EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Shore Corporation shall not be responsible for any direct or consequential damages sustained as a result of the use of this product. Further, Shore Corporation shall not be liable for personal injuries, property damage or any other damages as a result of the use of this product, the sole responsibility of Shore Corporation under the within WARRANTY being the replacement of any nonconforming product. Acceptance and use of this product absolves Shore Corporation from any such liability whatsoever and from whatever source. The within WARRANTY may not be modified or extended by Shore Corporation representatives or distributors, neither of which are empowered to make any product representation inconsistent with the terms hereof.
