2405 Pro Guard PD is a ready to use water borne blend of siloxane and silane designed to provide protection from water intrusion on concrete, block, pavers, flagstone, terra cotta, sandstone and brick. 2405 Pro Guard PD is an excellent means for protecting masonry from the accumulation of water penetration leading to freeze/thaw damage, protection against salt damage, efflorescence, and dirt accumulation. Protection of this nature allows for a lengthening of substrate life.

2405 Pro Guard PD is formulated to penetrate deeply into the surface, bond physically and chemically to the substrate to provide extended service life. 2405 will remain breathable, is VOC Compliant, and also provides protection against mold and mildew.

Do not use this product on limestone, polished surfaces such as marble or granite.

Dilution Ratios

1:19 equals a 5% solution	1:7 equals a 15% solution
1:14 equals a 7% solution	1:4 equals a 20% solution
1:9 equals a 10% solution

Preparation & Application

All surfaces must be clean, subsurface and surface dry. Protect all foliage, windows, adjacent surfaces that are not to receive the treatment, vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Close off all ventilation and other means of entry into the structure. Using the method to be used on the project, apply an area of 10 square feet to determine the consumption rate. A spray application is preferred but roller and brush application may be acceptable for some projects. Apply with low pressure spray (20 p.s.i.) taking care not to atomize the fluid. For vertical surfaces, a flood coat is recommended where a run down of 6 to 10 inches is obtained below the application point. When used for very porous surfaces, two or more wet on wet application will give the best results. On dense surfaces only a single application is required. Clean all equipment with soap and water.

Limitations

Do not apply when the surface and ambient temperature are below 40 degrees F or when rain is expected with 8 hours. Reseal the 2405 Pro Guard PD container after each use. Maximum storage of concentrate is one year after purchase when protected from sunlight and stored at temperatures above freezing. Full water repellency is not reached until 72 hours after application. Do not recoat surfaces after they have dried. Take all precautions to avoid spillage resulting in discharge into waters and sewage intakes.

Safety

Danger: 2405 can produce methanol which may cause blindness or fatality if ingested. 2405 is to be applied by professional contractors only. All applicators should wear OSHA and NIOSH recommended protective equipment. Do not use or dilute the product in closed areas without adequate ventilation. Immediately close the container after removal of the solution to be diluted. Provide adequate ventilation during application. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Do not smoke, eat or drink during application. Wash thoroughly after handling. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not inhale or ingest the solution, modify the solution with any material other than water or use the product for any non-recommended purpose. Prolonged inhalation may cause dizziness, headaches or nausea. Refer to the proper MSDS Sheet for persons exposed to or reacting to the product.
