SB2419 Stain Resistant Floor Sealer

SB 2419 Stain Resistant Floor Sealer is a waterborne sealer based on fluorinated resin technology. It dries to a glossy film which will protect the surface from dirt and most stains. It is designed for use on both regular, finished and moderately polished concrete surfaces. Like most waterborne sealers, SB 2419 has some vapor permeability, but it is not to be confused with the highly breathable, often siloxane based sealers, suitable for vertical masonry and stone surfaces.

Preparation

SB 2419 Stain Resistant Floor Sealer is normally applied by low pressure, garden-type pump sprayer followed by leveling with a brush or microfiber floor finish applicator pad. For sealing or resealing cured concrete, it is strongly suggested to thoroughly clean the surface with a quality cleaner like SB 2790 Con-D-Soil and pressure wash to remove any dirt, stains, or loose sealer. Perform a test application to determine suitability and applica- tion rate. Over application of this product may result in a slippery surface.

Dilution and Coverage

Dilution: Product used undiluted — test application recommended.

Coverage: 250 to 1,000 square feet per gallon — dependent upon substrate and other conditions.

Application

Surface should be completely dry before applying SB 2419 at a rate of 250 – 1000 square feet per gallon depending on surface texture and desired gloss. For best results, apply a second coat within 1 hour of the initial application [wet on wet].DO NOT ALLOW THE FIRST COAT TO DRY COMPLETELY BETWEEN APPLICATIONS.Cleanup of tools or equipment can be done with warm soap and water. Dried or partially dried films may require a polar solvent such as alcohol, acetone, or a glycol ether to remove. In warm, dry weather allow at least 24 hours for light foot traffic and 72 hours for heavy foot traffic.
