Preparation
Provide protection for pedestrians, vehicles, roofing and foliage. Test all other non-masonry surfaces for negative reactions and provide protection where required. Remove all loose materials from the surface prior to application. Protect all surrounding areas from possible damage due to spillage during application. All projects should start with a test application to determine suitability of the material for the chosen project, method of application and dwell time. Not all paints can be removed by this product. Do not use in enclosed areas without sufficient mechanical ventilation to keep vapors below dangerous levels.
Dilution and Coverage
Dilution: Usually not diluted — test application recommended.
Coverage: 50 to 100 square feet per gallon — dependent upon surface texture.
Application
Apply SB 2230 undiluted with solvent resistant brushes or rollers. Allow the remover to work for 15 minutes and remove with high pressure water. Brush agitation of the material may be helpful. Caution: do not allow the remover to dry on the surface. Reapplication will be required to correct for dried material. Neutralization of the surface, after removal, is not required. SB 2230 is not recommended for use indoors — vapors are irritating and very flammable. Adequate respiratory protection is mandatory and ventilation to prevent the buildup of flammable vapors is necessary. Do not smoke, use near fire or flame, or operate equipment that may produce electricallyor mechanically induced sparks. SB 2230 Shore Strip is for use by professional contractors only. Spray application is not recommended. Beware of drift during application and removal of the material. Extremely porous surfaces may require an additional application. Do not reapply until the surface is dry. Do not make the first application to a damp or wet surface. A wet or damp surface will result in either poor performance or a failure to perform situation. Do not allow vapors to enter the structure. SB 2230 is not recommended for furniture or other sensitive painted or varnished surfaces. SB 2230 will not remove cementitious coatings. If a ghost remains in the surface after Apply SB 2235 undiluted with solvent resistant brushes or rollers. Allow the remover to work for 15 minutes or more and remove with high pressure water. Shore Corporation warrants that this product conforms to the chemical composition described in the Product Label. SHORE CORPORATION EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Shore Corporation shall not be responsible for any direct or consequential damages sustained as a result of the use of this product. Further, Shore Corporation shall not be liable for personal injuries, property damage or any other damages as a result of the use of this product, the sole responsibility of Shore Corporation under the within WARRANTY being the replacement of any nonconforming product. Acceptance and use of this product absolves Shore Corporation from any other such liability whatsoever and from whatever source. The within WARRANTY may not be modified or extended by Shore Corporation representatives or distributors, neither of which are empowered to make any product representation inconsistent with the terms hereof.
