Preparation
Scrape or pressure wash loose material from the surface. Provide protection for foliage, vehicles and pedestrian traffic. Protect all surfaces and surrounding areas from possible damage which might occur from spillage or contact during application and removal of the stripper. SB 2200 will burn anodized aluminum window frames.
All projects should start with a test application to determine the suitability of the stripper, acceptable application method and dwell time. Test areas of at least 10 square feet in area are recommended and should involve the thickest coatings. When possible, the test area should be left to age for 10 or more days to check for possible adverse reactions. Some plural component paints cannot be removed by SB 2200.
Dilution and Coverage
Dilution: Usually not diluted — test application recommended.
Coverage: 50 to 100 square feet per gallon — dependent upon surface and layers of paint to be removed.
Application
SB 2200 ALKA Strip may be applied undiluted with nylon brushes, chemical resistant rollers or airless spray equipment. When applying with airless spray, make sure that the unit is equipped with caustic resistant seals, chemical resistant hoses and contains no aluminum parts. Adjust the sprayer to apply the stripper in an even manner and to avoid atomization. Allow the stripper to work for at least 2 to 4 hours before testing to determine if all of the paint has been dissolved. For projects requiring the removal of large numbers of paint layers, dwell times of 18 to 24 hours may be required. When working in hot conditions or when extended usage may cause early drying, cover the stripper with plastic to extend dwell times.
SB 2200 ALKA Strip is for use by professional contractors only. Follow all EPA requirements for the disposal of lead paint solids or other paint solids to avoid ground contamination or discharge into public sewage plants. Always neutralize the surface with the appropriate ShoreBest acid cleaner to avoid leaving a haze on the surface, or leaving a surface that cannot be repainted, or treated with a clear water repellent. SB 2200 may affect window film and other window treatments. The SB 2200 ALKA Strip is not effective in the removal of cement-based coatings. Do not use as a furniture stripper.

SHORE CORPORATION EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Shore Corporation shall not be responsible for any direct or consequential damages sustained as a result of the use of this product. Further, Shore Corporation shall not be liable for personal injuries, property damage or any other damages as a result of the use of this product, the sole responsibility of Shore Corporation under the within WARRANTY being the replacement of any nonconforming product. Acceptance and use of this product absolves Shore Corporation from any other such liability whatsoever and from whatever source. The within WARRANTY may not be modified or extended by Shore Corporation representatives or distributors, neither of which are empowered to make any product representation inconsistent with the terms hereof.
